Our Team
ACD ARTS consists of diverse professional afro-dancers, band artists, and entertainers from various parts of Africa, who have a passion for dance, and for educating others through dance and sensory arts. In addition to being highly accomplished in their fields, we are also energetic, positive and caring.
Our team brings students together to practice and learn traditional African dances and sensory arts. In these workshops, students learn various dance techniques, African dance, sound rhythms, costume designs, visual arts with crafts and story telling that are unique to different African cultures. These dance workshops not only serve as a way of preserving African culture but also promote fitness, wellness, and cultural exchange. We operate in schools across the United Kingdom with our head quarters in Hackney, London.
The schools we work with in particular often book our workshops as part of cultural exchange programs, festivals, dance classes, black history month workshops e.t.c, allowing students to adapt distinctive cultural ideologies and accentuate African heritage demonstrations. Overall, our African dance and sensory cultural workshops offer an interactive way to celebrate the culture, promote diversity in a contemporary and educational model.
