The Story
ACD ARTS VISION
Cultural education is intrinsically valuable and as ACD ARTS, we have successfully epitomised true heritage through African sensory arts and dance workshops for schools. Our core vision is to embrace and integrate individuals of diverse cultures into a united bond through such educational workshops. Thus, we reach out not just to schools, but to corporate, health industries, communities, institutions and more; for the sole purpose of influencing education in cultural awareness across individuals, irrespective of age, ethnicity or any other social background.
ACD arts is an international dance, music band and arts professional organisation that specialises in educational arts workshops for schools. We encompass a dynamic range of disciplines from both contemporary and traditional African dance workshops, visual arts, drumming, story telling and costume designing.
We also perform at corporate events such as Hospital anniversaries, Prom parties, University festivals and black history month conventions. Irrespective of age, race or gender we embrace equality as an organisation.
The Concept
Our music, energetic dancing and colorful costumes will get both young and old dancing and clapping to a fusion of African rhythms, Soca, Khalimba, Lingala, Soukous, Zomba and drumming or storytelling acts. All acts are exclusively delivered in African Languages. We aim to deliver our service in style.
The Atmosphere
We are committed to promoting good causes such protecting our environment and giving to charitable causes and we work in partnership with other dedicated organisations who help us channel our commitments in more effective ways. We work with various partners to share strategies, skills and experience.
The Heart
We have provided workshops for many schools and delivered at corporate events including the West Minister Abbey, The Rich Mix, Royal Albert Hall, Earl’s Court, Gywl Pontadarwe Festival and Tredegar House Festival, Ealing Global Music Day and many more.
The History
ACD arts UK has been providing cultural heritage workshops since 2007 to inspire contemporary cultural awareness across schools in the UK. We offer sensory educational arts services which suit learners of every age (Key Stage 1-4). Here at ACD arts, dance and sensory cultural arts are not just an activity, they are a way of life. Dynamically, all our workshops are taught by professional choreographers and performing artists who travel across various schools to deliver our services.
