DrummingList Item 1
Students get to excercise on their own drum and learn some African rhythms with unusual but rather amazing grooves. At the end of the session, they all demonstrate what learnt by performing for each other in a musical circle. Our engaging sessions have sensory plans, that also cater for students with learning disabilities, with a range of traditional sensory facilitating instruments.

Sing African/ Music works with providing African Traditional Instruments like Adungu (Bow Harp), Amadinda (Xylophone or marimba) and Akogo (Thumb Piano) which all produce calm beautiful sounds and students are prompted to utter various African sounds and harmonies to produce rythms.

Story-tellingList Item 3
Through our rhyming stories, students learn how African greetings and songs help keep traditional disciplines. Students practice foreign afro-languages and learn about aspects of town and village african life, shown by photos, DVDs and traditional outfits.

Cultural DancingList Item 4
The workshops gets students to learn the history of the dance and rhythms for their future reference during the session. This gives them an understanding of traditional life and culture in Africa. This is a positive contribution for wellness and fitness.

African Visual Arts
In Tie and Dye or Block Printing, we examine a collection of African textiles and decorate fabrics. We illustrate a collection of beads and jewellery from Africa, with common materials, patterns and colours. We also demosntrate Capoeira, a Brazilian Martial Arts initially developed by African slaves.

Costume Design/Making
Making costumes provides an excellent insight into the history and purpose of the costumes. Students are prompted to ask questions that introduce profound explanations of traditional life of the tribes where the costumes derive. Heritage is indeed first expressed by one's attire.
